The capital of Northern Ireland is situated near the eastern coastline of the country. With great natural and cultural riches, Belfast is a great city to visit.
With some exceptional countryside surrounding the city, it is easy to get away and relax. Belfast has some excellent attractions, especially the Grand Opera House and the City Hall, both of which are not to be missed. |

Belfast City Hall - This neo-Renassaince building is amongst the most impressive structures in Ireland and can be found in Donegall Square. There are many impressive statues around the fabulous interior of the City Hall.
Grand Opera House - The Grand Opera House is one of Belfast's most popular and most beautiful attractions.
Botanic Gardens - These excellent gardens house plant life from around the globe. On top of the many tropical houses the interesting Ulster museum is also found here.
St Anne's Cathedral - This incredible Protestant church was started at the end of the 19th Century. This grand structure has much of interest, especially the magnificent ceiling of the Baptistery which is made out of small pieces of glass. The cathedral is also home to the tomb of one of Ulster's favourite sons, Lord Edward Henry Carson.
Lagan Weir - Lagan Weir has been redeveloped into a fantastically clean river with a myriad of entertainment options around it. There is now a visitors centre and many bars, restaurants, hotels and parks along side Lagan Weir.
